Wow, it has already been a week since I last wrote!? I guess that's what being in a nursing program will do to you!
Everything has been going relatively well so far, except for a horrible, awful cold I've had all week long. I feel like I am finally getting over it, but Monday and Tuesday were probably the most sick I've felt in YEARS. Maybe all the stress of starting school got to me. I feel like I have a handle on my schedule now.
Luckily I've had steady work and freelance work pop up! So far, this is how I've done money-wise this week:
Monday - worked 7am-2:30 (7.5 hours @ $10/hour)- $75
Wednesday - worked 7am-12:30 (5.5 hours @ $10/hour)- $55
Thursday - Freelanced 9 projects for work - $270
Friday - work 3:30pm - 9pm (5.5 hours @ $10/hour) - $55
Friday - coached (1 hour @ $20) - $20
Total money made this week: $475!
I'm not sure when I'll see any of this money, since I think I am in between paychecks at my work study job on campus and my old job must mail me a check for the freelance work. This money helps a ton because I had a bunch of extra expenses pop up with school - buying my student nurse uniform, nursing kit and extra books/supplies cost me nearly $500.
Anyways, I'm off to work my last 5.5 hours this week and then I can relax until I start work again on Sunday!! No rest for the weary!
